SFFS Snippet Refugees On Urloon

Here is an excerpt from Refugees On Urloon, closer to the middle of the novella than previous entries.

Liam messaged back immediately.
I would like you to come visit in the domes. There is a section of domes made for land dwellers. You would be safe but would be able to get a better idea of what life is like down here. They have submersible vehicles so you can see all the domes. Pack a few things and meet the transport at the dock tomorrow afternoon at 13:00. I’ve already arranged to take a day or so off, so I can show you around. I want to show you the water city, and we need to talk.

Svana replied. She would meet him at the dock.

  1. Clandestine meeting...or just a ploy to see her. Been there and done that. ;)

    Nice snippet.

  2. Always important to be wary of people who ask you to meet them via a private message... :-)

  4. An invite by text? Not much of a personal touch. I suspect that this is not going to be good.

  6. How well does she know Liam? And texting may be the only communication mode possible.
