I signed up for #Writemotivation March 2012 because I want to write a novella for a submission call in the month of March. My goal is 2k per day, though I have some flexibility there.
I decided this novella would need to be placed in a new 'world.' Not my Diaspora World, in which Refugees on Urloon, Galactic Game and Cybot Awakened(to be reedited, renamed and self pubbed later this year) reside. I haven't developed a new world for months, not since I wrote Starlander's Myth, which is set in the Starlander Frontier.
My new world is the Vangellis Alliance, and my people are ship bound, having lost their world in a war. They call themselves the Remnant. At this point I have no plans for a series but that always changes. The Vangellis Alliance could very well occupy the same galaxy and time as the Diaspora Worlds, but the two have no contact. I'm thinking separate edges of the Milky Way. It's a big universe, after all!
And it is full of shifters!
Very cool!!
ReplyDeleteThat does sound cool. Happy writing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting, Kaye and Shelley! My synopsis is almost finished, have my picture file set up on the Scrivener cork board and character sketches are done. Place names and secondary characters names are posted there too, easy access. I hate having to search through a manuscript to find out exactly what I named that character or place!
