“The skeleton thing was real?”
“Yes, a famine demon. Very deadly. No one has summoned him in years. He would have killed you, you know. Many years ago, he was responsible for entire tribes dying of starvation.”

ReplyDeleteWelcome to a strange new world, and it's a scary place. Nicely done, too, in a few lines of dialogue. I'm not sure I'd want to live there, but I'd be more than willing to hear more of the story.
