For a Winter's Night


Homemade Chai Tea:

2 Quarts water
8 bags black tea 
3/4 c sugar
2 tsp ground cloves
2 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
2 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
8 slices fresh ginger
(I used 4 slices of candied ginger)
1C milk

Cook and strain out solids, add milk before serving (I added milk while it was in pot since we drank the whole pot at one time). We thought we might add nutmeg to it next time.
