The Drama Continues--I gave my teenaged twins chicken pox!

They did have chicken pox, but they weren't quite two years old and only had a few spots.

This time they have more than a few.

Being
my daughters, they requested books, so my eldest daughter and I made a trip to the library and returned with a dozen young adult books. So with computer games, calamine lotion, Benedryl, and books, they should make it through okay.

If they miss the marching band party next weekend, they may never forgive me!

In the midst of all this drama I bought the October Nocturne Bites, so I am off to read!

Dreamtime plotting

I woke up early this morning but since I didn't sleep well last night I decided to go back to sleep.

I have this novel with a block, and couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. I love the futuristic setting, I love my heroine's growth...it was my hero. He morphed from Alpha Military Good Guy into Alpha Jerk in ONE SCENE!

This morning I dreamed that scene (except his hair was all wrong, it is supposed to be in dreadlocks but in my dream it was more like Prince Valiant's). I got deep pov from the hero, which the story lacked.

Isn't that wild--this is not the story I've been working on recently, though I do think about it a lot.

Fellow Author Pimpage!

I met one of Firedrakes Weyr's fellow authors, Devon Ellington, on a group recently, and checked out her short story available in an online magazine. It was so good I have to let you all know of a quality free read:

I Talk about my new release! Tune In!

Check it out! The October release authors at Firedrakes Weyr were on the Dragon's Den Radio Show. So you can hear a little about my novel Fallen To Earth. I've been told I have a cartoon voice, so you can hear for yourself. Hmmm, I'm also dressing as a munchkin for Halloween at work.

Firedrakes Weyr is a new epub. My experience there has been very positive. Since they are down in Hurricane-ville, I'm glad they have been able to keep afloat and online.

On the health front I made it through a week of work! Hubby works tomorrow and all my daughters will spend the day in Laramie for a marching band clinic, so I plan to write since my brain is no longer clouded by pain meds.
