Still Home

I'm reading Jayne Ann Krentz' backlist while lolling around, but I am doing some writing. I have edits going on the computer and a rough draft steampunk romance on the Alphasmart, so I AM doing something. I see the doc again on Monday and then will have a work release so I can go back to my cube!

My bad eye is looking better! I saw the doc yesterday, and I have a new diagnosis, a rare eye disease called pars planitis. It doesn't seem real to me, that I could face blindness...that would happen to someone else, not me! But this is treatable, and I need to be hyper vigilant about any eye sight changes, because if I let things go and lose vision, I can't get it back.

Thanks to Shingles--

--I'm on vacation. With pain pills. I'm not big with the editing in my present state, but I have pulled out the Alphasmart to work on a rough draft. Though I am wondering if it will turn out weird since the meds make me loopy. If it is funny I might post it.

My cover for Fallen to Earth will be read
y for display soon. Firedrakes Weyr is a brand new epub (yes, I was BRAVE) but I have to say they have been delightful to work with.

I'm reading some new Authors:
I've never read Lori Foster before and I'm really enjoying her story!

And a scifi romance:

Some Friday Cheer

Spike!

I am home today since my vision is a little odd due to an eye procedure--but only if I move my head. If I hold it perfectly still my vision clears.

Hope to get some writing done today, and nothing I'm working on has a hero that resembles Spike. Spike just cheers me up.

The character was smart, sensitive, snarky and a drama queen, always interesting. Fans of Spike and of Joseph Campbell saw that Spike was on his own Hero's Journey. On the show we saw his journey from his human days as the lovesick poet William to the vampire without remorse, to the trickster and eventually the savior who sacrificed himself for this world.

Here in central Wyoming it looks like rain! A good day to sit in front of the computer with a cup of hot tea.
